Karen Elizabeth Bush

Karen Elizabeth Bush, also known as 'Pinky', was an American biochemist and professor of practice emerita in the Department of Biology at Indiana University Bloomington, specializing in bacterial resistance mechanisms to beta-lactam antibiotics. She was elected to the 2024 Fellows class of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and had 35 years of experience in antibiotic drug discovery and development. Bush passed away on July 1, 2021, at the age of 53.
