Karen D Shaw

Karen Shaw (October 25, 1941 – March 27, 2025) was an American conceptual and visual artist and curator best known for developing a system that assigns linguistic meaning to numbers, which she incorporated into many of her works.[1] She was also noted for her artwork exploring sports and gender, often described as Neo-Dadaist, and her innovative use of 'Summantics' in winning a major art competition.[1]
