Kahlil Gibran
Kahlil Gibran (Jubrān Khalīl Jubrān), a Lebanese-American writer, poet, and visual artist, was born in Bsharri, Lebanon, and immigrated to Boston in 1895, where he began his artistic and literary career. Influenced by European modernists like William Blake and symbolists, he wrote in both Arabic and English, pioneering Romanticism in Arabic literature before settling in New York City in 1912. His most famous work, *The Prophet* (1923), became a global phenomenon, cementing his legacy as one of the best-selling poets of all time.
