K. J. Falconer
Kenneth John Falconer CBE FRSE (born 25 January 1952) is a British mathematician specializing in mathematical analysis, particularly fractal geometry, including sets and measures from iterated function systems, Hausdorff dimensions, and related topics.[1][2] He studied at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, where he graduated as a Wrangler in 1974, and has held positions including Regius Professor of Mathematics at the University of St Andrews.[2][3][5] Falconer has authored five books and over 130 papers, received the Shephard Prize in 2020, and was awarded a CBE for services to mathematics in 2024.[1][2]
