Junji Ito
Junji Ito is a renowned Japanese horror manga artist born on July 31, 1963, in Sakashita (now part of Nakatsugawa), Gifu Prefecture. Initially trained as a dental technician, he transitioned to full-time mangaka after winning recognition for his debut work Tomie in the late 1980s, going on to create iconic horror series like Uzumaki and Gyo featuring body horror, spirals, and supernatural elements.[1][2]
