Julian Stockwin
Julian Stockwin, born in 1944 in Basingstoke, England, joined the Royal Navy at age fourteen, served with the Royal Australian Navy including surviving the Melbourne-Voyager collision, and later worked as an educational psychologist and software developer before becoming a full-time writer. He is best known for his Thomas Kydd series of 27 historical naval fiction novels spanning the Age of Sail, as well as the Moments of History series including The Silk Tree and Powder of Death. Stockwin lives in Devon, England, with his wife Kathy.
