Julia Sorrell
Julia Sorrell is a British artist known for her portraits and imaginative drawings and paintings using figures and natural forms such as wood, shells, rock, and trees. Born in 1955 in Westcliff-on-Sea, she studied at Southend College of Art & Design and Goldsmiths College, where she focused on textiles and embroidery, and comes from a family of artists including her father Alan Sorrell and mother Elizabeth Sorrell. Elected to the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colour in 2008 and the Royal Society of British Artists in 2009, she has established a distinguished career in watercolour and other media.[1][2][3][4][5]
