Judy Sheindlin

Judy Sheindlin, born Judith Susan Blum, is an American author, former family court judge, and television personality best known for presiding over the long-running courtroom show *Judge Judy* from 1996 to 2021. She authored books including *Beauty Fades, Dumb Is Forever* (1999) and the children's book *Judge Judy Sheindlin’s Win or Lose by How You Choose!* (2000). Appointed a judge by Mayor Ed Koch in 1982, she gained national fame through a *60 Minutes* profile before launching her iconic TV career.
