Joyce Farrell
Joyce Farrell is a senior research associate in the Stanford School of Engineering and Executive Director of the Stanford Center for Image Systems Engineering, with a Ph.D. in psychology from Stanford University specializing in visual perception and psychophysics. She has authored numerous programming textbooks widely used in higher education, previously teaching computer information systems at Harper College, University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, and McHenry County College. Additionally, she founded ImagEval Consulting, LLC in 2001, focusing on image systems simulation software, and was awarded Fellow of the Society of Imaging Science and Technology in 2023.[1][2]
