Josiah Harlan

Josiah Harlan (1799–1871) was an American adventurer and soldier of fortune who traveled in Afghanistan and Punjab in the early 19th century. He became involved in local politics and military conflicts and later claimed the title "Prince of Ghor," a story that helped inspire Rudyard Kipling's "The Man Who Would Be King."
