Joseph O. 1856-1925 Dyer

Joseph Osterman Dyer (1856-1925) was a Texas historian and author known for his work on the early history of Galveston. He wrote 'The Early History of Galveston' in 1916, covering the period from 1518 to 1836, and also produced a historical sketch comparing customs of wild tribes near Galveston with ancient Semitic practices. Referred to as Dr. J. O. Dyer, he contributed significantly to documenting Texas regional history.[1][2][4]
