Joseph M Williams

Joseph M. Williams was a Professor Emeritus of English and Linguistics at the University of Chicago, renowned for his influential work on writing instruction, including co-creating the 'Little Red Schoolhouse' writing program and authoring books like 'Style: Lessons in Clarity and Grace.' He wrote or edited over 10 books on language, grammar, and rhetoric, such as 'The New English' and 'The Origins of the English Language,' and founded the communications consulting firm Clearlines.[1][5]
