Joseph Blair

Joe Blair is an American author and HVAC repairman based in Coralville, Iowa, best known for his memoir *By the Iowa Sea* (2012), which chronicles his experiences with marriage, family, and the 2008 Iowa flood and was named one of Publisher’s Weekly's top 10 memoirs of the year. Originally from Westford, Massachusetts, he studied literature and writing at UMass Lowell and earned an MFA in nonfiction from the University of Iowa. He lives with his wife Deb, special needs son Mike, and family, and his essays have appeared in publications like The New York Times.
