Jonathan Hay

Jonathan Hay is the Ailsa Mellon Bruce Professor of Fine Arts at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, specializing in the visual and material culture of Ming-Qing China. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on September 5, 1956, and is a noted author of works such as 'Shitao: Painting and Modernity in Early Qing China' and 'Sensuous Surfaces'.
