Johnny Townsend
Johnny Townsend is a prolific American author born in 1961 in New Orleans, Louisiana, known for his 25 books focusing on gay Latter-day Saints, Mormon-themed fiction, and LGBTQ rights advocacy. He earned an MFA from Louisiana State University and has published essays in numerous renowned publications including The Washington Post and The Progressive. Townsend currently resides in Seattle, Washington with his partner, where he continues to write about social justice, climate change, and the experiences of gay ex-Mormons.
