John Thelwall

John Thelwall was a British radical orator, writer, and poet associated with the 1790s reform movement. He was a prominent figure in the London Corresponding Society and was tried for high treason in 1794, though acquitted. Later in life he became a lecturer on elocution and wrote on speech therapy.
