John Piper
John Piper is a Reformed Baptist theologian, author, and retired pastor who served as pastor for preaching and vision at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis for 33 years (1980–2013) and is now chancellor of Bethlehem College and Seminary and founder of Desiring God. He is best known for his concept of Christian Hedonism, articulated in his 1986 book *Desiring God*, and has authored over 50 books promoting the supremacy of God for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ. Piper studied at Wheaton College, Fuller Theological Seminary, and the University of Munich, specializing in New Testament studies.
