John P Meier

John P. Meier (August 8, 1942 – October 18, 2022) was an American Catholic priest and biblical scholar best known for his multi-volume work *A Marginal Jew: Rethinking the Historical Jesus*. He served as a professor of theology at the University of Notre Dame and was widely recognized for his influential scholarship on the historical Jesus.
