John N. Maclean

John N. Maclean is an American journalist and author best known for his nonfiction books about fatal wildland fires, including *Fire on the Mountain* and *The Thirtymile Fire*. He worked for *The Chicago Tribune* for 30 years, then turned to writing books; he is also the son of author Norman Maclean and wrote the memoir *Home Waters* in 2021.
