John Murray

John Murray (1898–1975) was a renowned Scottish-born Reformed theologian and long-time professor of systematic theology at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He served in the British Army during World War I, studied under notable theologians like J. Gresham Machen and Geerhardus Vos, and became widely regarded as one of the foremost orthodox theologians of the English-speaking world. Murray retired to Scotland, where he married late in life and fathered two children before passing away in 1975.
