John Mill

John Stuart Mill was a prominent English philosopher, political economist, and civil servant. He was a leading exponent of utilitarianism, an ethical theory developed by his father James Mill and Jeremy Bentham. Mill's work greatly influenced 19th-century liberal thought and social theory.
