John McClure

John Peebles McClure (1893–1956) was an American poet known for his lyrical and whimsical poetry. He was one of the founding editors of the New Orleans-based literary magazine The Double Dealer, which championed modernist writers like William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, and Thornton Wilder. McClure published works including Airs and Ballads (1918) and edited The Stag's Hornbook (1918).
