John Lewis
John Lewis was an American civil rights leader and politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Georgia's 5th congressional district from 1987 until his death. A pivotal figure in the Civil Rights Movement, he was a chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) and a speaker at the 1963 March on Washington. His activism and unwavering commitment to justice and equality left an indelible mark on American history.
