John Laffin
John Laffin (1922–2000) was an Australian military historian and journalist who became one of the world's most distinguished experts on World War I, particularly the Australian Imperial Force.[1][2] He served five years in World War II as a veteran of the New Guinea campaign, and later published dozens of military history books over forty years.[1] Laffin founded the Families & Friends of the 1st Australian Imperial Force and was instrumental in creating the Australian Corps Memorial Park at Le Hamel, France.[2]
