John James Audubon
John James Audubon was an artist and naturalist best known for his detailed paintings of North American birds and for his landmark work *The Birds of America*. Born in 1785, he studied and drew hundreds of bird and mammal species and became one of the most influential figures in American ornithology and wildlife art.[2][3]
