John Jackson
John Glover Jackson (1907–1993) was an American historian, lecturer, teacher, and writer known for promoting Afrocentrism, atheism, and comparative mythology regarding Jesus Christ. He authored books on African history such as *Man, God, and Civilization* (1972) and *Introduction to African Civilizations* (1974), and controversial works like *Christianity before Christ* (1985) and *Was Jesus Christ a Negro?* (1984). Associated with Pan-African figures like Marcus Garvey, he served as associate director of the Blyden Society and lectured at U.S. colleges.
