John Howard Griffin

John Howard Griffin was an American author and journalist best known for his groundbreaking work 'Black Like Me' (1961), in which he documented his experiences traveling through the segregated American South after artificially darkening his skin. His work as a social commentator and photographer highlighted racial injustice and human dignity. Griffin also wrote on music, mysticism, and his experiences in France and the Pacific during World War II.
