John Harvey
John Harvey is a British author best known for his jazz-influenced Charlie Resnick crime fiction series set in Nottingham. Initially a teacher of English and Drama after studying at Goldsmiths College, he became a full-time professional writer in 1975, producing over 100 books including poetry, screenplays, and novels under various pseudonyms. His works have received major awards, such as the CWA Cartier Diamond Dagger in 2007 for sustained excellence in crime writing.
