John G Robertson

John George Robertson (1867–1933) was a Scottish philologist and professor of German language and literature. He taught at the University of Strassburg and the University of London, where he became Professor of German Language and Literature and later Director of the Department of Scandinavian Studies; he also served as founding editor-in-chief of the *Modern Language Review*.[1]
