John Frayn Turner
John Frayn Turner was a British author born in 1923 who served in the Royal Navy during World War II, later working in journalism and RAF publicity at the Ministry of Defence.[1][2] He developed a friendship with Douglas Bader, leading to collaborative books, and began his writing career with 'Service Most Silent' in 1955, specializing in military history and biography.[1][3] Turner died in Cornwall in 2015.[1][3]
