John Davies
Sir John Davies (1569–1626) was an English poet, lawyer, and politician known for his satirical sonnets and the celebrated work 'Orchestra: Or, A Poeme of Dauncing.' He served as Attorney General for Ireland and later as Solicitor-General, contributing significantly to the legal foundations of the British Empire while maintaining a prolific career in poetry.
