John & Burch Thomas & Wachter Kenneth (editors) Bongaarts

John Bongaarts, Thomas K. Burch, and Kenneth W. Wachter are not a single author but three distinct demographers who co-edited the 1987 IUSSP volume 'Family Demography: Methods, Models, and Uses' published by Oxford University Press. Thomas K. Burch (1934-2022) was a longtime IUSSP member since 1967, active in population studies, and served on the Committee on Family Demography and the Life Cycle (1981-1985). Kenneth W. Wachter, born 1947 in New York, is a professor at UC Berkeley specializing in demography; John Bongaarts is a prominent researcher at the Population Council focused on household size and composition.
