John Buchan
John Buchan, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir (1875-1940) was a Scottish novelist, historian, and statesman best known for his adventure novel 'The Thirty-Nine Steps.' He wrote over 100 books across multiple genres including novels, biographies, and historical works, while maintaining a distinguished career in politics, diplomacy, and publishing. He served as Governor General of Canada from 1935 until his death in 1940.
