John Buchaca

John Buchan was a Scottish novelist, historian, and Unionist politician best known for his adventure thriller The Thirty-Nine Steps. He also served as Governor General of Canada from 1935 to 1940 and wrote widely across fiction, biography, history, and essays.[5][6][7][8]
