John Barth

John Simmons Barth (1930–2024) was an American writer best known for postmodern and metafictional fiction that pushed the limits of narrative form. His most acclaimed works include The Sot-Weed Factor, Giles Goat-Boy, and Lost in the Funhouse, and he was also a longtime professor and influential teacher of writing.
