John Baldessari

John Anthony Baldessari (1931–2020) was an American conceptual artist known for incorporating found photography, appropriated images, text, and language into his work. A pioneering figure in conceptual art, he worked across painting, printmaking, film, video, installation, sculpture, and photography, and had a major influence on later generations of contemporary artists.
