Johanna Basford

Johanna Basford is a Scottish illustrator and pioneer of the adult coloring book trend, known for her intricate, hand-drawn black-and-white illustrations created with pens and pencils.[1][3] She graduated with a degree in textile design from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2005, and her debut book Secret Garden (2013) became an Amazon bestseller and New York Times bestseller, with over 25 million books sold worldwide.[1][3] In 2016, she was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to art.[1]
