Joel Solkoff
Joel Ezra Solkoff (1948–2022) was an American author, journalist, and disability advocate known for his memoir 'Learning to Live Again: My Triumph Over Cancer.' Born in New York City to Isadore Solkoff and Miriam Pell, he graduated from Columbia University and wrote extensively on topics including Medicare policy, durable medical equipment, and mobility in architecture while serving as a research assistant at Penn State's Department of Architectural Engineering.
