Joe Posnanski, born January 8, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio, is an acclaimed American sports journalist, columnist, and #1 New York Times bestselling author known for books like The Baseball 100, Paterno, and The Soul of Baseball.[2][3][7] Named best sportswriter by multiple organizations including APSE and the National Sports Media Association, he has worked at The Kansas City Star, Sports Illustrated, MLB.com, NBC Sports, and currently writes as National Columnist for The Athletic while co-hosting The PosCast.[1][3][5] He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his family.[3][4][7]
