Joe Meno

Joe Meno was an American novelist, short story writer, playwright, music journalist, and professor based in Chicago. A winner of the Nelson Algren Literary Award, Pushcart Prize, and Great Lakes Book Award, he authored novels such as Hairstyles of the Damned, The Boy Detective Fails, and Marvel and a Wonder, along with short story collections. He taught creative writing at Columbia College Chicago until his death in February following a battle with prostate cancer.[1][2][3][4][5]
