Joe Howard

Joseph Kinsey Howard (1906–1951) was a unique, influential, and imaginative Montana writer best known for his scathing history of the state, 'Montana: High, Wide and Handsome,' published in 1943. He began his career as a reporter in Great Falls at age 17 and later devoted himself fully to writing, fostering literary efforts in Montana until his death from a heart attack in 1951.
