Joaquim Nabuco

Joaquim Nabuco was a Brazilian writer, statesman, diplomat, historian, journalist, and jurist, best known as a leading figure in Brazil's abolitionist movement and one of the founders of the Brazilian Academy of Letters. He later served as ambassador to the United States and was also an important advocate of Pan-Americanism.
