Joan F. Brennecke
Joan F. Brennecke is the Cockrell Family Chair in Engineering #16 in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on developing environmentally friendly solvents and processes, particularly through the use of ionic liquids and supercritical fluids for extractions, separations, and reactions. She was inducted into the National Academy of Engineering in 2012 and has received numerous awards including the Ipatieff Prize, Professional Progress Award, and E.V. Murphree Award.
