Joan Anderson
Joan Anderson is an American author born in 1943, known for her children's historical books, juvenile novels, and bestselling memoirs such as A Year by the Sea, An Unfinished Marriage, and A Walk on the Beach. A graduate of Colby Sawyer College and the Yale School of Drama, she began her career as a journalist and stringer reporter for the Gannett newspaper chain before gaining recognition for her autobiographical works exploring women's life transitions. She lives with her husband on Cape Cod and lectures on women's topics worldwide.
