Jill Darden

Jill Darden was a pioneering journalist and publisher who founded Fort Worth Black News in 1997 at age 23 with a mission to inform and inspire readers through community reporting. She spent nearly three decades building the publication to amplify underrepresented voices and connect Fort Worth's Black community. Widely respected as a community advocate, she was instrumental in addressing gaps in local Black community coverage.
