Jieping Zhu

Jieping Zhu is a renowned organic chemist specializing in total synthesis of natural products, multicomponent reactions, and catalytic enantioselective transformations. Born in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, China, he earned his B.Sc. from Hangzhou Normal University in 1984, M.Sc. from Lanzhou University in 1987, and Ph.D. from Université Paris XI in 1991, followed by postdoctoral work at Texas A&M University. He advanced through positions at CNRS in France before becoming Full Professor at EPFL in 2010, receiving numerous awards including CNRS medals and the Prix Emile Jungfleisch.
