Jhumpa Lahiri

Jhumpa Lahiri is an English-born American novelist and short-story writer known for works that explore the immigrant experience, especially among Indian and Indian-American characters. She won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2000 for her debut collection, *Interpreter of Maladies*, and has also written acclaimed novels including *The Namesake* and *The Lowland*.
