Jerry Schad

Jerry Schad, also known as Gerald Schad, was an American educator and nonfiction writer best known for documenting hiking trails and outdoor routes in San Diego, Orange County, and Southern California. He authored 16 books, including the widely used guidebook *Afoot & Afield in San Diego County*, and was recognized for helping foster appreciation of the outdoors.
