Jerry S. Wolinsky MD

Jerry S. Wolinsky, MD, is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Neurology at McGovern Medical School, UTHealth Houston, where he held the Bartels Family and Opal C. Rankin Professorships, directed the Multiple Sclerosis Research Group, and the MRI Analysis Center until retiring in 2016. Born in Baltimore and raised in Chicago, he earned his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1969 and has authored over 300 publications on neuroimmunology, clinical trials, and MS imaging. He served as interim dean of the medical school in 2006 and was elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation in 1984.
