Jerry Asher

Jerrold “Jerry” Asher (1903-1967) was a long-time motion picture publicist and freelance magazine writer in Hollywood. He met Joan Crawford at MGM, where he worked as a gofer and office boy, and his openly gay identity elicited her maternal instincts. He resided at 6650 Franklin Ave in Los Angeles and is buried at Home of Peace Memorial Park in East Los Angeles.
